                        IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for
              (335) Roberta / HIP 34947 event on 1998, December 3
                      visible from Japan, China on far East,
                Turkey, Greece, southern Italy, Algeria and Morocco
    
    Summary 
    On December 3, 1998 will be occulted 7.3 mag star by a 94km asteroid (335) Roberta. This final update is based on USNO/Flagstaff and TMO astrometry for asteroid and HIPPARCOS star position. The updated path is significantly north of Goffin's nominal path with small time correction. Compared to the preliminary update (Nov 26) this final path is shifted by about 15km to north and has a few second time correction but within errors the paths are identical.

     * estimated maximum duration [s]: 10.3
     * path description: In morning twilight the path crosses southern Shikoku and 
         Kyushu in Japan ~21:29UT, hits extreme south of South Corea, and enters 
         China ~21:30 UT. At ~21:37 UT hits Kirgizia, ~21:38 UT southern Khazach, 
         barely misses Taschkent - Uzbek capital and runs uver rest of Uzbekistan.
         Also hits Georgia ~21:41 UT and runs along Black sea coast of Turkey. 
         Hits north Greece ~21:44UT and south Italy and north Sicily ~21:45UT. 
         After that path runs along Mediterrian coast of Africa and leaves Earth.
