    Summary

In the night of November 9, 2001 a 10.1 mag star TYC 2265-00675-1 will be occulted by a 112 km asteroid (1467) Mashona. This update is based on USNO/Flagstaff and TMO astrometry for the asteroid and Tycho-2 star position.

The updated path shows ~0.5" west shift with time ~0.7 minutes earlier compared to Edwin Goffin's nominal prediction.

Updated path runs over Russia, just north of Moscow ~18:12.4 UT, SE Belarus ~18:13.4 UT, east Ukraine ~18:14 UT, western Romania ~18:14.7 UT, frm. Yugoslavia with Beograd ~18:15.5 UT, south Italy ~18:16 UT, Sicilia ~18:16.7 UT. Within path uncertainties is also SE Poland, very east Slovakia, NW Moldavia and NW Bulgaria. Please check the path chart for details.
