IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for
(1794) Finsen / TYC 0154-02070-1 = SAO 114076 on January 20/21, 2002
Summary
Only short update - recent UCAC position was used instead of Tycho-2 position for this recalculation.
This results in ~2 path width north shift with time ~0.2 minutes later compared to my first update.
Don't know how much the UCAC position is affected by the fainter component.
Data for the target star:
* name: SAO 114076 = PPM 150784 = TYC 0154-02070-1
* constellation: Monoceros
* J2000 position [h,m,s; o,',"]: 06h 34m 29.6916s; +04o 19' 46.990"
* position source: UCAC
* estimated accuracy ["]: 0.05" (0.045", 0.02")
* V mag [mag]: 9.83
* B-V [mag]: +0.85
* remarks:
Recent UCAC position was provided by Marion and Norbert Zacharias.
Target star is in north Monoceros, 2.7 degrees east of 4.4 mag star
epsilon Monocerotis = SAO 113810. Be careful to observe the correct star -
only 2' east of target is a slightly brighter 8.8 mag star SAO 114080
and 4' west of target is close pair (BAL 2671) of 10.2+10.4 mag stars.
Moreover the target star is brighter component of double star BAL 2672,
the fainter component is ~9" north of primary.
