    Summary

In the night of September 16/17, 2002 a bright 5.5 mag star FK6 1115 = HIP 19388 will be occulted by a 100 km asteroid (345) Tercidina. This update is based on USNO/Flagstaff, TMO, GEneva Gnosca and Bordeaux-Floirac astrometry for the asteroid and Hipparcos star position.

The updated path shows ~2 path widths south shift with time ~0.2 minutes later compared to Edwin Goffin's nominal prediction. Compared to preliminary update, there is very small north path shift and very small time shift.

Updated path runs over France south of Paris ~0:45 UT with Nantes and Tours close to centerline, Tours in path close to north limit and Strasbourg just north of path, S Germany with Freiburg and Munich ~0:45.7 UT, Austria with Vienna ~0:46 UT, Slovakia and Hungary around 0:46.5 UT, N Romania ~0:47.3, Moldavia ~0:47.7 UT, Ukraine north of Odessa ~0:48 UT and south Russia around 0:50 UT. Slightly larger area is within expected errors - Switzerland, Czechia and south Poland to name some. I hope there will be more recent astrometry still to refine more path of this EXTRA BONUS event. Please check the path chart for details.

Clear sky and good luck !!!
