                        IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for
             (680) Genoveva / HIP 49947 = PPM 100154 on November 2/3, 2002
              visible from Portugal, Spain, SE France, N Italy, Slovenia, Croatia,
                            S Hungary, N Romania and Moldavia
    
    Summary 

    In the morning of night November 2/3, 2002 a 9.1 mag star HIP 49947 = PPM 100154 will be occulted by a 87 km asteroid (680) Genoveva. This update is based on USNO/Flagstaff astrometry for the asteroid and Hipparcos star position.

    The updated path shows about 2 path width south shift with time ~0.6 minutes later compared to Edwin Goffin's nominal prediction.

    Updated path runs over Portugal just north of Lisbon ~4:28.3 UT, Spain north of Madrid ~4:28.6 UT, SE France around 4:29.0 UT with Marseille and Nice on south limit, N Italy ~4:29.3 UT, Slovenia and Croatia around 4:29.7 UT, south Hungary ~4:29.8 UT, N Romania ~4:30.3 UT and Moldavia in twilight ~4:30.4 UT.
