                        IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for
        (612) Veronika / TYC 4818-01219-1 = SAO 134115 on November 20/21, 2002
               visible from Russia, Kazachstan, Georgia, Turkey, middle East,
                              Egypt, Brasil and Argentina
    
    Summary 

    In the night of November 20/21, 2002 a 8.8 mag star TYC 4818-01219-1 = SAO 134115 will be occulted by a 41 km asteroid (612) Veronika. This update is based on USNO/Flagstaff and TMO astrometry for the asteroid and Tycho-2 position.

    The updated path shows ~25 path width south shift with time 1.9 minutes later minutes compared to Edwin Goffin's nominal prediction.

    Updated path runs over Russia ~1:21.5 UT, Kazachstan ~1:22 UT, Georgia ~1:23.5 UT, Turkey ~1:24 UT, middle East ~1:25 UT, Egypt with Alexandria ~1:25.5 UT. Thenafter path runs to southwest over Africa and Atlantic Ocean to reach finally south Brazil ~1:38 UT and Argentina ~1:38.5 UT at low altitudes. Please check the path chart for details.
