               (415) Palatia / TYC 1371-01852-1 on January 24/25, 2003
               visible from India, S Pakistan, Iran, SW Russia, Estonia
                          SW Finland, N Sweden and Norway
    
    Summary 

    In the night of January 24/25, 2003 a faint 10.7 mag star TYC 1371-01852-1 will be occulted by a 80 km asteroid (415) Palatia. This update is based on USNO/Flagstaff astrometry for the asteroid and recent UCAC star position.

    The updated path shows ~2 path width east shift with time 0.1 minutes later compared to Edwin Goffin's nominal prediction.

    Updated path runs over India around 22:18.5 UT, S Pakistan ~22:20 UT, Iran around 22:22 UT, SW Russia ~23:24 to 23:28 UT, Estonia, ~23:28.3 UT, SW Finland ~23:28.6 UT with Helsinki in path, N Sweden ~23:29.7 UT and Norway ~23:30 UT. Please check the path chart for details.
