               (173) Ino / TYC 4990-00676-1 on February 6/7, 2003
      visible from N Egypt, middle East, Iraq, Iran, middle Asia and Siberia

    Summary

    In the night of February 6/7, 2003 a faint 11.3 mag star TYC 4990-00676-1 will be occulted by a 159 km asteroid (173) Ino. This update is based on USNO/Flagstaff astrometry for the asteroid and recent UCAC star position.

    The updated path shows ~0.5 path width north shift with time 1.4 minutes later compared to Edwin Goffin's nominal prediction.

    Updated path runs over N Egypt ~23:32.8 UT, middle East around 23:33.3 UT, Iraq ~23:34.0 UT, Iran ~23:35 UT, middle Asia 23:36-23:39 UT and Siberia ~23:40 UT. Please check the path chart for details.

    Clear sky and good luck !!!

        !!! IMPORTANT !!!
        Purple stars in identification chart are so called 'non-star' objects in GSC; in dense fields
        the 'non-stars' are often real stars or blends of close pairs. Be careful about this.

    Close finding chart (prepared in GUIDE7):
     * occulted star is in center - labeled with cross
     * field is 3.0x3.0 degrees
     * limiting magnitude is 13.0
     * labeled stars have indicated SAO numbers
     * remarks:
