                        IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for
            (387) Aquitania / TYC 1433-01114-1 on February 11/12, 2003
                          visible from Africa and Canada

    Summary

    In the night of February 11/12, 2003 a faint 11.3 mag star TYC 1433-01114-1 will be occulted by a 106 km asteroid (387) Aquitania. This update is based on USNO/Flagstaff astrometry for the asteroid and recent UCAC star position.

    The updated path shows ~6 path width SW shift with time 0.6 minutes earlier compared to Edwin Goffin's nominal prediction.

    Updated path runs over Africa from SE to NW 1:17-1:25 UT and NE Canada around 1:29.5 UT. Please check the path chart for details.

    Clear sky and good luck !!!

        !!! IMPORTANT !!!
        Purple stars in identification chart are so called 'non-star' objects in GSC; in dense fields
        the 'non-stars' are often real stars or blends of close pairs. Be careful about this.

    Close finding chart (prepared in GUIDE7):
     * occulted star is in center - labeled with cross
     * field is 3.0x3.0 degrees
     * limiting magnitude is 13.0
     * labeled stars have indicated SAO numbers
