IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for (366) Vincentina / TYC 2411-00003-1 on February 11/12, 2003 visible from Serbia, Slovenia, N Italy, Switzerland, middle France and east Brasil Summary
In the night of February 11/12, 2003 a faint 11.6 mag star TYC 2411-00003-1 will be occulted by a 98 km asteroid (366) Vincentina. This update is based on USNO/Flagstaff and TMO astrometry for the asteroid and recent UCAC star position.
The updated path shows ~1 path width NW shift with time 0.7 minutes later compared to Edwin Goffin's nominal prediction.
Updated path runs over Serbia ~1:50.0 UT, Slovenia ~1:50.5 UT, N Italy ~1:51.0 UT, Switzerland ~1:51.4 UT, middle France ~1:52.0 UT and east Brasil 2:11-2:13 UT. Please check the path chart for details.
Clear sky and good luck !!!

IMPORTANT !!! Purple stars in identification chart are so called 'non-star' objects in GSC; in dense fields the 'non-stars' are often real stars or blends of close pairs. Be careful about this. Close finding chart (prepared in GUIDE7): * occulted star is in center - labeled with cross * field is 2.0x2.0 degrees * limiting magnitude is 13.0 * labeled stars have indicated SAO numbers * remarks: Second chart shows 30' blowup to show correctly the star in Milky Way field.
