                        IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for
                 (524) Fidelio / TYC 6132-00531-1 on April 24/25, 2003
                  visible from N South Africa, S Namibia, NE Brasilia,
                    French Guyana, Surinam, Guyana and N Venezuela
    
    Summary 

    In the night of April 24/25, 2003 a faint 11.6 mag star TYC 6132-00531-1 will be occulted by a 74 km asteroid (524) Fidelio. This update is based on USNO/Flagstaff and TMO astrometry for the asteroid and UCAC1 star position.

    The updated path shows ~8 path width north shift with time 0.8 minutes later compared to Edwin Goffin's nominal prediction.

    Updated path runs over N South Africa around 23:26.5 UT, S Namibia ~23:27.7 UT, NE Brasilia around 23:35.5 UT, French Guyana ~23:36.5 UT, Surinam ~23:36.8 UT, Guyana ~23:37.0 UT and N Venezuela around 23:37.5 UT with Caracas north of path but within error limits.
