IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for (305) Gordonia / TYC 0004-00279-1 on September 28/29, 2003 visible from Russia, Belarus, Poland, NW Czechia, S Germany, France, NW Spain and NW Venezuela, N Columbia Summary
In the night of September 28/29, 2003 a faint 11.7 mag star TYC 0004-00279-1 will be occulted by a 51 km asteroid (305) Gordonia. This update is based on USNO/Flagstaff astrometry for the asteroid and UCAC2 star position.
The updated path shows no shift with time ~0.3 minutes later compared to Edwin Goffin's nominal prediction.
Updated path runs over Russia ~0:58.6 UT, Belarus with Minsk on north limit ~0:59.2 UT,
Poland ~0:59.6 UT with Warszaw, Lodz and Wroclaw in path, NW Czechia ~0:59.9 UT, S Germany ~1:00.2 UT,
France ~1:00.6 UT with Strasbourg in path, NW Spain ~1:01.7 UT and later NW Venezuela ~1:09.8 UT, N Columbia ~1:10.2 UT.
