Summary

In the night of September 30/October 1, 2003 a faint 11.3 mag star TAC +06 00337 will be occulted by a 43 km asteroid (131) Vala. This update is based on USNO/Flagstaff astrometry for the asteroid and UCAC2 star position.

The updated path shows ~4 path width south shift with time ~0.4 minutes earlier compared to Edwin Goffin's nominal prediction.

Updated path runs due to south shift over N Poland in strong twilight ~4:35.3 UT, N Germany ~4:35.7 UT, N England ~4:36.4 UT with Liverpool in path, Ireland ~4:36.8 UT with Dublin close to north limit, USA ~4:45 uT -> 4:48.5 UT and N Mexico around 4:49 UT. Please check the path chart for details.
