                      IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for
            (231) Vindobona / TYC 2389-01522-1 on December 13/14, 2003
           visible from Egypt, Malta, Mallorca, Spain, E Canada and USA
    
    
    Summary 

    In the night of December 13/14, 2003 a faint 11.1 mag star TYC 2389-01522-1 will be occulted by a 85 km asteroid (231) Vindobona. This update is based on USNO/Flagstaff astrometry for the asteroid and UCAC2 star position.

    The updated path shows ~9 path width north shift with time 0.7 minutes earlier compared to Edwin Goffin's nominal prediction.

    Updated path runs due to north shift over Egypt 3:28.1 UT, Malta ~3:28.9 UT, Mallorca ~3:29.6 UT, Spain around 3:30.1 UT, E Canada ~3:35 UT and USA from NE to SW at 3:36 to 3:39 UT. Please check the path chart for details.
