IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for (361) Bononia / TYC 6763-01551-1 on January 24/25, 2004 visible from S England, France, Corse, Sardinia, Sicilia and NE Libya Summary
In the night of January 24/25, 2004 a faint 11.0 mag star TYC 6763-01551-1 will be occulted by a 149 km asteroid (361) Bononia. This update is based on USNO/Flagstaff and TMO astrometry for the asteroid and UCAC2 star position.
The updated path shows ~5 path width south shift with time 0.1 minutes later compared to Edwin Goffin's nominal prediction.
Updated path runs due to south shift over S England ~4:53.0 UT, France ~4:53.2 UT, Corse and Sardinia ~4:53.3 UT, Sicilia ~4:53.6 UT and NE Libya ~4:54.1 UT. Please check the path chart for details.
Mentioned path location is for main body, campaing for observation occultation by it's satellite is organized by EAON.
Here is current station list for European cities.
Clear sky and good luck !!!
