                         IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for
                (639) Latona / TYC 1364-01587-1 on January 27/28, 2004
            visible from China, Khazachstan, S Russia, Ukraine, N Hungary,
           S Slovakia, Austria, S Germany, N Switzerland and middle France
    
    Summary 

    In the night of January 27/28, 2004 a faint 11.6 mag star TYC 1364-01587-1 will be occulted by a 75 km asteroid (639) Latona. This update is based on USNO/Flagstaff astrometry for the asteroid and UCAC2 star position.

    The updated path shows ~6 path widths south shift with time 0.9 minutes later compared to Edwin Goffin's nominal prediction.

    Updated path runs over China 2057-20:59 UT, Khazachstan around 21.00 UT, S Russia ~21:02 UT, Ukraine around 21:03.3 UT, N Hungary ~21:04.2 UT, S Slovakia ~21:04.5 UT, Austria ~21:40.8 UT, S Germany ~21:05.1 UT, N Switzerland ~21:005.4 UT and middle France ~21:05.8 UT.
