IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for (284) Amalia / TYC 0782-00761-1 on February 18/19, 2004 visible from Turkey, Bulgaria, Serbia, W Hungary, Austria, Germany from SE to NW, S Netherlands, NE England and SW Scotland Summary
In the night of February 18/19, 2004 a faint 11.0 mag star TYC 0782-00761-1 will be occulted by a 55 km asteroid (284) Amalia. This update is based on USNO/Flagstaff astrometry for the asteroid and UCAC2 star position.
The updated path shows no path shift with time 0.4 minutes later compared to Edwin Goffin's nominal prediction.
Updated path runs over Turkey ~23:10.0UT, Bulgaria ~23:11.3 UT, Serbia ~23:11.9 UT, W Hungary ~23:12.4 UT, Austria ~23:12.8 UT, Germany from SE to NW around 23:13.4 UT, S Netherlands ~23:14.0, NE England ~23:14.8 UT and SW Scotland ~23:15.3 UT. Please check the path chart for details.
