IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for (2019) van Albada / TYC 1338-00883-1 on February 25/26, 2004 visible from Turkey, Bulgaria, SW Romania, N Serbia, SW Hungary, NE Slovenia, Austria, S Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, very N France, England and Ireland Summary
In the night of February 25/26, 2004 a faint 11.5 mag star TYC 1338-00883-1 will be occulted by a tiny 17 km asteroid (2019) van Albada. This update is based on ASTDYS database only for the asteroid and UCAC2 star position. In fact it is no real update as no high accurate astrometry was available.
The updated path shows ~1 path width north shift with time ~1 minutes earlier compared to Eric Frappa's s nominal prediction.
Updated path runs over Turkey around 19:58 UT, Bulgaria ~20:05 UT, SW Romania ~20:07 UT, N Serbia ~20:09 UT, SW Hungary ~20:11 UT, NE Slovenia ~20:12 UT, Austria around 20:13.5 UT, S Germany around 20:17 UT, Luxembourg ~20:19 UT, Belgium ~20:20 UT, very N France ~20:21 UT, England around 20:23.5 UT and Ireland ~20:27 UT. Please check the path chart for details.
