                         IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for
         (179) Klytaemnestra / TYC 6316-00535-1 = PPM 721085 on April 4/5, 2004
              visible from France, N Italy, Switzerland, Slovenia, S Austria,
                                N Serbia and Hungary

    Summary

    In the night of April 4/5, 2004 a faint 10.5 mag star TYC 6316-00535-1 = PPM 721085 will be occulted by a 81 km asteroid (179) Klytaemnestra. This update is based on USNO/Flagstaff astrometry for the asteroid and UCAC2 star position.

    The updated path shows ~1.5 path width north shift with time ~0.2 minutes earlier compared to Edwin Goffin's nominal prediction.

    Updated path runs over France ~3:13.5 UT, N Italy ~3:13.8 UT, Switzerland ~3:13.7 UT, Slovenia ~3:14.0, S Austria ~3:14.1 UT, N Serbia ~3:14.1 UT and Hungary ~3:14.3 UT. Please check the path chart for details.

    Finding charts (prepared in GUIDE8):
     * occulted star is in center - labeled with cross
     * labeled stars have indicated SAO numbers
     * (smaller) square box shows 30' field in all wider field charts
     * (larger) square box shows 3° field in wide field charts
     * remarks:
       Target star is in northeast Sagittarius, about 6.0 degrees east of 3.9 mag star rho1 Sagittarii = SAO 162512.
       !!! IMPORTANT !!!
       Purple stars in identification chart are so called 'non-star' objects in GSC; in dense fields
       the 'non-stars' are often real stars or blends of close pairs. Be careful about this.
