IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for (5027) Androgeos / GSC 5029-00616 on June 12/13, 2004 visible from S Russia, NW Turkey, Greece, Tunisia and NW Africa Summary
In the night of June 12/13, 2004 a faint 11.9 mag star GSC 5029-00616 will be occulted by a 97 km asteroid (5027) Androgeos. This update is based on LaSilla astrometry for the asteroid and UCAC2 star position.
The updated path shows ~0.25" south shift compared to Eric Frappa's nominal prediction.
Updated path runs over S Russia ~22:50.7 UT, NW Turkey ~22:51.3 UT, Greece ~22:51.8 UT, Tunisia ~22:52.7 UT and NW Africa ~22:54 UT. Please check the path chart for details.

IMPORTANT !!! Purple stars in identification chart are so called 'non-star' objects in GSC; in dense fields the 'non-stars' are often real stars or blends of close pairs.
