IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for (419) Aurelia / TYC 5558-00816-1 = SAO 158424 on July 26/27, 2004 visible from Spain, Baleares, S Sardinia, S Italy and Sicilia, Greece and Turkey Summary
In the night of July 26/27, 2004 a bright 9.4 mag star TYC 5558-00816-1 = SAO 158424 will be occulted by a 133 km asteroid (419) Aurelia. This update is based on USNO/Flagstaff and TMO astrometry for the asteroid and UCAC2 star position.
The updated path shows ~1.5 path width south shift with no time shift compared to Edwin Goffin's nominal prediction.
Updated path runs over Spain ~20:06.7 UT, Baleares ~20:07.1 UT, S Sardinia ~20:07.4 UT, S Italy and Sicilia ~20:07.8 UT, Greece ~20:08.3 UT and Turkey ~20:08.6 UT at low altitudes. Please check the path chart for details.
