                         IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for
           (8) Flora / TYC 1304-00296-1 = SAO 94541 on August 9/10, 2004
           visible from Morocco, NW Algeria, S Italy, N Albania, S Serbia,
                NW Bulgaria, SE Romania, S Moldavia and SE Ukraine

    Summary

    In the morning of August 9/10, 2004 a bright 8.6 mag star TYC 1304-00296-1 = SAO 94541 will be occulted by a 141 km asteroid (8) Flora. This update is based on USNO/Flagstaff and TMO astrometry for the asteroid and UCAC2 star position.

    The updated path shows ~0.2 path width south shift with time ~0.1 minute earlier compared to Edwin Goffin's nominal prediction.

    Updated path runs over Morocco ~1:57.9 UT, NW Algeria ~1:58.0 UT with Algiers in path, S Italy ~1:58.2 UT with Naples in path, N Albania ~1:58.2 UT, S Serbia ~1:58.3 UT, NW Bulgaria ~1:58.4 UT with Sofia on south limit, SE Romania ~1:58.4 UT with Bucharest almost on central line, S Moldavia ~1:58.5 UT and SE Ukraine 1:58.6 UT with Odessa in path. Please check the path chart for details.

    Finding charts (prepared in GUIDE8):
     * occulted star is in center - labeled with cross
     * labeled stars have indicated SAO numbers
     * (smaller) square box shows 30' field in all wider field charts
     * (larger) square box shows 3° field in wide field charts
     * remarks:
       Target star is in southwest Taurus, about 3.4 degrees SWS of 3.0 mag star zeta Tauri = SAO 77336.
       !!! IMPORTANT !!!
       Purple stars in identification chart are so called 'non-star' objects in GSC; in dense fields
       the 'non-stars' are often real stars or blends of close pairs. Be careful about this.
