                         IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for
             (379) Huenna / TYC 1355-00208-1 on September 21/22, 2004
           visible from S England, NW France, W Belgium, S Netherlands,
         N Germany, N Poland, S Lithuania, Belarus and Russia in twilight

    Summary

    In the night of September 21/22, 2004 a faint 10.7 mag star TYC 1355-00208-1 will be occulted by a 96 km asteroid (379) Huenna. This update is based on USNO/Flagstaff and La Silla astrometry for the asteroid and UCAC2 star position.

    The updated path shows large ~8 path width north shift with time ~0.3 minute later compared to Edwin Goffin's nominal prediction.

    Updated path runs over S England ~2:45.2 UT, NW France ~2:45.2 UT, W Belgium ~2:45.3 UT, S Netherlands ~2:45.3 UT, N Germany ~2:45.5 UT, N Poland ~2:45.7 UT, S Lithuania ~2:46.0 UT, Belarus ~2:46.1 UT and Russia in twilight ~2:46.5 UT. Please check the path chart for details.

    Finding charts (prepared in GUIDE8):
     * occulted star is in center - labeled with cross
     * labeled stars have indicated SAO numbers
     * (smaller) square box shows 30' field in all wider field charts
     * (larger) square box shows 3° field in wide field charts
     * remarks:
       Target star is in mid-south Gemini, about 1.5 degrees south of 3.5 mag star delta Geminorum = SAO 79380.
       !!! IMPORTANT !!!
       Purple stars in identification chart are so called 'non-star' objects in GSC; in dense fields
       the 'non-stars' are often real stars or blends of close pairs. Be careful about this.
