IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for (468) Lina / TYC 6337-00937-1 on October 9/10, 2004 visible from N Morocco, Corse, mid-north Italy, Croatia, Hungary, very SE Slovakia, W Ukraine, SE Belarus and Russia at low altitudes Summary
In the night of October 9/10, 2004 a faint 10.5 mag star TYC 6337-00937-1 will be occulted by a 72 km asteroid (468) Lina. This update is based on USNO/Flagstaff astrometry for the asteroid and UCAC2 star position.
The updated path shows ~2 path width S shift with time ~0.2 minute earlier compared to Edwin Goffin's nominal prediction.
Updated path runs over N Morocco ~20:19.8 UT UT, Corse ~20:21.9 UT, mid-north Italy ~20:22.2 UT, Croatia ~20:22.5 UT, Hungary ~20:22.8 UT, very SE Slovakia ~20:22.9 UT, W Ukraine ~20:23.2 UT, SE Belarus ~20:23.3 UT and Russia ~20:23.4 UT at low altitudes. Please check the path chart for details.

IMPORTANT !!! Purple stars in identification chart are so called 'non-star' objects in GSC; in dense fields the 'non-stars' are often real stars or blends of close pairs.
