                         IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for
           (136) Austria / TAC +04 07178 = GSC 0231-00966 on November 20/21, 2004
             visible from Ireland, N England, S Netherlands, N Belgium, Germany,
        SW Czechia, NE Austria, SW Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, NE Bulgaria and Turkey

    Summary

    In the night of November 20/21, 2004 a faint 12.0 mag star TAC +04 07178 = GSC 0231-00966 will be occulted by a 42 km asteroid (136) Austria. This update is based on USNO/Flagstaff astrometry for the asteroid and UCAC2 star position.

    The updated path shows ~0.5" S shift with time ~0.7 minutes earlier compared to Edwin Goffin's nominal prediction.

    Updated path runs over Ireland ~2:00.4 UT, N England ~2:00.6 UT, S Netherlands and N Belgium ~2:01.0 UT, Germany ~2:01.3 UT, SW Czechia ~2:01.6 UT, NE Austria with Vienna ~2:01.8 UT, SW Slovakia ~2:01.8 UT, Hungary ~2:02.0 UT, Romania ~2:02.4 UT, NE Bulgaria ~2:02.7 UT and Turkey ~2:03.8 UT. Please check the path chart for details.

    Finding charts (prepared in GUIDE8):
     * occulted star is in center - labeled with cross
     * labeled stars have indicated SAO numbers
     * (smaller) square box shows 30' field in all wider field charts
     * (larger) square box shows 3° field in wide field charts
     * remarks:
       Target star is in N Hydra, about 3.3 degrees NE of 3.9 mag star theta Hydrae = SAO 117527.
       !!! IMPORTANT !!!
       Purple stars in identification chart are so called 'non-star' objects in GSC; in dense fields
       the 'non-stars' are often real stars or blends of close pairs. Be careful about this.
