IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for
(1092) Lilium / TYC 6335-00800-1 on August 15/16, 2005
visible from S Russia, NW Turkey, N Greece, S Italy and Sicilia,
N Tunisia, N Algeria and N Morocco
Summary
In the night of August 15/16, 2005 a faint 11.6 mag star TYC 6335-00800-1 will be occulted by a 48 km asteroid (1092) Lilium. This update is based on USNO/Flagstaff and TMO astrometry for the asteroid and UCAC2 star position.
The updated path shows ~4 path width shift with no time correction compared to Edwin Goffin's nominal prediction.
Updated path runs over S Russia ~23:06.5 UT, NW Turkey ~23:07.8 UT, N Greece ~23:08.4 UT, S Italy ~23:09.0 UT and Sicilia ~23:09.3 UT, N Tunisia ~23:09.9 UT, N Algeria ~23:10.8 UT and N Morocco ~23:12.0 UT. Please check the path chart for details.
