IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for (1032) Pafuri / HIP 48303 = SAO 81044 on November 7/8, 2005 visible from England, Denmark, S Sweden, Estonia and N Russia Summary
In the morning of night of November 7/8, 2005 a bright 8.7 mag star HIP 48303 = SAO 81044 will be occulted by a 59 km asteroid (1032) Pafuri. This update is based on USNO/Flagstaff and TMO astrometry for the asteroid and UCAC2 star position.
The updated path shows ~10 path width north shift with time ~0.8 minutes later compared to Edwin Goffin's nominal prediction.
Updated path runs over England ~1:32.0 UT, Denmark ~1:32.4 UT, S Sweden ~1:32.6 UT, Estonia ~1:33.2 UT and N Russia ~1:33.3-1:36 UT. Please check the path chart for details.

Finding charts (prepared in GUIDE8): * occulted star is in center - labeled with cross * labeled stars have indicated SAO numbers * (smaller) square box shows 30' field in all wider field charts * (larger) square box shows 3° field in wide field charts * remarks: Target star is in NW Leo, about 3.2 degrees SSE of epsilon Leonis = SAO 81004. !!! IMPORTANT !!! Purple stars in identification chart are so called 'non-star' objects in GSC; in dense fields the 'non-stars' are often real stars or blends of close pairs.
